Alternative Dispute Resolution

Tina Patterson is an international arbitrator and mediator specializing in FinTech, technology, intellectual property, and complex commercial disputes. She brings a unique combination of 18 years in financial technology—including managing a $1.3 billion product suite at a Fortune 500 company and payment settlement systems processing over $100 billion annually at another Fortune 500 company—with 24 years in arbitration and facilitation, having handled 289+ cases.

Ms. Patterson has been invited to join the BVI International Arbitration Centre's specialized FinTech Arbitration Panel and serves on the arbitrator rosters of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO),  Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC),  American Arbitration Association (AAA), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR), and DC Bar Attorney-Client Arbitration Board.

Mediation​

Ms. Patterson mediates complex commercial, technology, intellectual property, financial services, and government contract disputes. She is a Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR)Accredited Mediator and has completed specialized training from Stanford Law School (IP & Technology Mediation and Arbitration) and the World Intellectual Property Organization. 

​Her mediation approach combines technical expertise with extensive facilitation experience, enabling parties to navigate disputes involving complex technology, financial systems, and multi-party stakeholder interests. She is an online dispute resolution specialist (member, International Council for Online Dispute Resolution; CALI Excellence Award).​

Facilitation

 Ms. Patterson facilitates complex multi-party processes involving technology, government policy, community engagement, and stakeholder consensus building. She has 24 years of facilitation experience supporting local and national public engagement efforts through organizations including  America Speaks,  the Kellogg Foundation, and RESOLVE .

Her facilitation expertise spans technology sector dialogues, government agency stakeholder processes, and community-based decision making. She is a member of the  International Association of Facilitators.

She serves on prestigious international and domestic arbitration panels including WIPO, DIAC,  AAA, FINRA, CPR, and DC Bar ACAB. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and completed the College of Commercial Arbitrators Mentoring Program (Class 2023-2025).

Ms. Patterson served as Program Manager for the American Bar Association's Section of Dispute Resolution, where she shaped national ADR policy and managed the field's largest professional organization. She contributed to the CPR Dispute Resolution Services' Arbitrator Disclosure Guidelines Task Force and serves as a Drafting Team Member for The Sedona Conference Working Group 13.
